Chapter 1: Roma 1490

Two years have passed since I came to Roma with Ezio and Damian and I am still a novice and will probably always be one.

I knew everyone in the order except the two Assassins that were the second and third best in the brotherhood.

One of them I hated as soon as I laid eyes one him, there was something about him that made me uneasy.

The other, he was more like myself, quite, and distant, almost like he was carrying a burden, a pain of the past. I wanted to help him, but I didn’t know how.

Sighing I looked back at the surrounding people for my target, a Templar who had been taking out Assassins all over the city.

I blushed as I heard someone whistle, why did I have to dress as a courtesan for this mission?

Looking around I didn’t see my target, sighing I turned around to leave only to run into a group of Templars. Looks like I found my target.

“Well, well, well, what do we have here boy’s?” The Templar grabbed my wrist and pulled me close, a smile on his face.

“Let me go you bastardos!” I struggled wildly but to no anvil, they were stronger then I was and easily restrained me.

“Looks like we’ll have to take this one back with us boys.” Shoving me in front of them they made their way back towards the barracks.

Looking over my shoulder I saw one of the other novices who joined just recently following the Templars. I shook my head ever so slightly and made a quick nod. They in return ran off, back towards Ezio’s tower.

I had to escape before they got to the barracks, otherwise I might never get out of that place, I rammed my elbow into the Templars gut before slamming my fist into another’s face before making a run for it.

“Get her! Don’t let her escape!” I knew I could not try to escape over the rooftops due to the fact that I was wearing a dress, so I dashed into a crowd I tried to lose them but one of them grabbed my wrist and yanked, making me fall to my knees.

“You’re going nowhere missy!” he picked me up and practically dragged me the rest of the way to the barracks, there was no way I would let them take me in there.

“I am not going anywhere with you Templar bastardos!”

“Then you leave me know choice!” I felt something slam into the back of my skull before I lost conciseness.

I started to come to in a cell with no window, and the only way out was by the door.

“What the hell happened?!” looking around I rubbed the back of my head and feeling the lump on there.

I heard footsteps coming down the hall outside before they stopped in front of the cell I was in.

I backed into the farthest away corner from the door as it opened slowly.

“Well, it looks like the little bird is awake.” Five Templars stood in the doorway.

“What do you want from me?” I looked at them and shuddered.

“Oh, I am sure you know what we want.” One look at their faces was enough to scare me, I knew what they wanted.

The other Templars left the room as their leader walked towards me with an evil grin on his face.

I placed my arm behind my back and reached under my skirt for the knife strapped to my leg.

He wrapped his arms around me and pined my arms to my sides as he fumbled for the laces that kept my dress on.

'Damn bastard, he really wanted to have some fun, it was almost a pity that I had to kill him, almost.’

Kicking his shin I made him loosen his grip on me, acting quickly I slit his throat and lowered him to the ground quietly.

"Requiescat in pace.” The other Templars heard a slight noise of the dead one’s armour scraped against the stone floor. They came back into the room and one of them slammed a fist into my gut.

Gasping I dropped the knife and fell to me knees.

“Looks like we need to kill you now, Assassin. But not after I let my men have some fun with you first.” One of them pined my arms to my sides as another came behind me and went to untie the dress.

That was when everything changed, Damian burst into the room with another two Assassin novices and the Templars drew their swords. I kicked the guy behind me and he staggered and almost dropped his sword didn’t and it sliced through my back from my right shoulder to me hip.

Crying out in pain I dropped to the ground, as everything started to go black I saw Damian carrying me in his arms with tears in his eyes…
